Hi there!
I’m so glad you’re here
HOW IT BEGAN
It started with a hatred of winter. The days are short, the temps are freezing and the bookings are slow. Coming from Texas, I was shocked that there weren’t more natural light studio options here in Central MA where it can literally snow six months out of the year. As a family photographer, I’ve rented my share of studios over the years and while there are so many great ones out there, I was tired of asking my clients to travel an hour or having to book four hours when I only needed one or two. I started dreaming of a space to use year round that I could share with other photographers. I hope you’re one of them!
Hi there!
I’m Elizabeth Lindblad, owner of The Linden Room and Elizabeth Piper Photography, mom to two wild girls, and wife to a handsome nerd who's as obsessed with pizza as I am. I can’t wait to see what you create at The Linden Room!
The Story Behind “Linden”
Linden is the root word of two people who have supported and inspired me to start this business - Lindsey, my sister’s first name and Lindblad, my husband’s surname.
Lindsey is six years older than me and has been my role model in everything from fashion to high school electives to motherhood. She’s the reason I first picked up a camera and I followed in her footsteps in becoming a newborn and family photographer. While we have separate specialities (she loves a posed newborn session while I do NOT have the patience for that), she’s always my first call for anything photography related. She has been my biggest support and sounding board in every step of my business (and honestly, my life).
My husband is my absolute rock (yes, I cringe writing that but it’s also true). I couldn’t run my photography business or have opened this studio without him. He is both my cheerleader when I’m feeling discouraged and my grounding force when I dream a little too big. I remember back in 2022, I was nine months pregnant with our second child and was looking at spaces to open a studio. I was convinced my maternity leave was the perfect time to start a second business but thankfully my sweet husband suggested that “maybe this isn’t the best time” and man, was he right. Two kids feels like 17 for some reason!
